Building a Tableau Dashboard on Credit Card Analysis.
I recently built a quick dashboard to explore credit card transaction patterns across India using a dataset of over 26,000 records.
The goal was to identify behavioral and demographic trends in how people use their credit cards—based on gender, geography, card type, and expenditure category.
What I built:
A time series analysis of transaction volumes by gender.
A treemap showing city-wise spending distribution.
Bar charts for card type and expenditure categories.
Gender breakdown and dynamic filters for granular analysis.
Key insights:
Female users made slightly more transactions than male users on average.
Silver credit cards were the most popular.
Bills and fuel were the top expenditure categories.
Metro cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Ahmedabad led in total spending.
This project helped me practice visual storytelling and reinforced how much clarity simple dashboards can bring to complex datasets.
I'm open to feedback and always up for collaborating on similar data-driven projects.
